Changing LanesLimited

Web app

Install the Changing Lanes app

Add Changing Lanes to your Home Screen, Dock or Start menu. It opens in its own window, with no app store and nothing to update.

Your device

Install on your phone, tablet or computer

Choose your device below for step-by-step instructions.

Why install it?

  • Opens in one tap

Launch Changing Lanes from your Home Screen, Dock or Start menu, in its own window.

  • No app store, no download size

Nothing to update: the app always shows the latest version of the site.

  • Private by design

Signed-in pages are never stored on your device. If you lose your phone, your records are not on it.

  • Needs a connection

Your course, tests and messages load live. Offline, the app shows a short “you are offline” page.

Step-by-step for every device

iPhone and iPad (Safari)

  1. Open this site in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up. On iPhone it is in the toolbar at the bottom; on iPad it is at the top right.
  3. Scroll down the list and tap “Add to Home Screen”. If you cannot see it, tap “Edit Actions…” and add it.
  4. Check the name reads “Changing Lanes”, then tap “Add”.
  5. Open Changing Lanes from your Home Screen. It opens full screen, without the Safari toolbar.

On iOS 16.4 or later, Chrome and Edge can also add to the Home Screen from their own Share menu. If you do not see the option, open the site in Safari.

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open this site in Chrome.
  2. Tap “Install app” if Chrome offers it at the bottom of the screen, or use the Install button on this page.
  3. Otherwise tap the menu (three dots, top right) and choose “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.
  4. Tap “Install” to confirm. The app appears on your Home screen and in your app drawer.

Samsung Internet

  1. Open this site in Samsung Internet.
  2. Tap the menu (three lines, bottom right).
  3. Tap “Add page to”, then “Home screen”.
  4. Tap “Add” to confirm. Some versions show an install icon in the address bar instead — tap it and choose “Install”.

Computer: Chrome or Microsoft Edge

  1. Open this site in Chrome or Edge on Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS.
  2. Select the install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar (a screen with a downward arrow), or use the Install button on this page.
  3. No icon? Chrome: menu (three dots) → “Cast, save and share” → “Install page as app…”. Edge: menu (three dots) → “Apps” → “Install this site as an app”.
  4. Select “Install”. Changing Lanes opens in its own window and can be pinned to the taskbar or dock.

Mac: Safari 17 or later

  1. Open this site in Safari (macOS Sonoma or later).
  2. Choose File → “Add to Dock…” in the menu bar (or select the Share button → “Add to Dock”).
  3. Check the name, then select “Add”. Changing Lanes appears in your Dock and in Launchpad as its own app.

Firefox

Limited support

  1. On Android: tap the menu (three dots) and choose “Add to Home screen”, then “Add”.
  2. On a computer: Firefox does not install web apps. Bookmark the site, or open it in Chrome, Edge or Safari to install it.

Firefox has limited support for installable web apps; everything works in the browser as normal.

Removing the app

Remove it like any other app: press and hold the icon and choose Remove (iPhone, iPad, Android), or open the app and use its menu to uninstall (Chrome and Edge on a computer). On a Mac, drag it out of the Dock and delete it from the Applications folder in your home folder.

Removing the app does not delete your account. Everything stays available at this website — return to the home page.
